Our children deserve to know their heritage and that it should be celebrated and not used to create division. They deserve to happily embrace where they come from without the fear of being treated as different. They deserve a world where they can just be! And they deserve the opportunity to develop strong identities without hateful or hurtful labels. What brings us together is much greater than what divides us. "My Brown Face is Beautiful" affirms that beauty, identity, and acceptance are for every child in all parts of the world and that if we just taught them the knowledge of self, they would discover how much alike we all are, truly!
